MAIL Box Delights!

Yesterday, I had 2 good things come in the mail!

I got a letter from CGOA that had a little pin inside. Hey, it was kind of cool, lol! AND.......My prize came in! Just look at that yummy yarn! And do you see my sheep tape measure! I just love him! I have been wanting one, but just never picked one up.....so how cool is this!

On another note, I put 2 items up for sale {FINALLY} @ Sallens Boutique ,

my Etsy. We'll see how it goes. I have some other things to add, but I'll take it one step at a time.

I never updated you on the puppies. They opened their eyes on Friday, the 13th. They are walking now, and are quite nosy! Chestnut, pup number 1, is the big boy! He is sooo curious and is a little bully! They are playing with each other now, and it's just too cute. Have you ever heard baby pups growl..........hilarious!!!! I never actually thought about baby pups growling. It makes sence though,now that I think about it. Brutus, well, he's still scared of them. Yes....the supposedly FEROCIOUS APBT.........scared of something about the size of his leg! Chestnut, the bully!, started walking towards Brutus, and he jumps up on my bed so the SCARY PUPPY wouldn't get him!

HELP Please, and Other Fixes

OK, I'm making the mini sock from Loopy Ewes. I have my stitches on the appropriate DPNS. But THEN WHAT???????? It doesnt say to join. So, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to. Arggggggg. I'm going to look around online and find out some answers. PLEASE FEEL FREE to leave some tips!

I have been pattern shopping!! I bought The Candy Lace Shawl , Cabled Tea Cozy Set , The Garden Trellis Shawl , and, I bought the Sierra Poncho that I'm going to convert into a shawl.(this will be so much fun, I'm sure!) Oh, and I signed up with the GCOA today!

My hubby might be home tomorrow. We're not sure. But what we do know, he will definitely be home by Monday morning. He's in Corpus at the moment. (this trip inclued Austin,Corpus and San Antonio.)I MISS HIM SO MUCH!

My brother is coming down this weekend!! He says we're going out to dinner. Isn't he sweet! Him and Bekki both sang Happy Birthday to my answering machine.....(ohh, and not together, seperate messages!)The goobers, lol!

Ohhhh,. speaking of, my SIL Tina, called and sang HB on my machine March 13th.....LOL, She was just a little early. (This is my hubbys brothers wife.) I have been playing phone tag with them. I either call when the phones is busy, or when they are out. (and vice versa) I will just have to write them snail mail.

Anyhow, we have had some lovely weather drop in. Some tornadoes have touched ground and done some damage, but my area has been OK. It looked pretty freaky out though. Let's see what the rest of the night holds.

Ohh, Selah posted on her blog again. She loves comments, so, please, drop by. She's a goober too! (But she's my goober!) Question...should I part with my bamboo? They are my special hooks. I just love them. DO I HAVE TO SHARE? Ya know, now that I thinking about, I'm gonna let her. BUT IT CAN NOT LEAVE MY VICINITY!!!!! There, now I feel good, and she will feel special! lol.

Hi everyone! Another short post....but hey, at least I'm here~

I posted Selah's purse on her blog........She has been wanting to get in there,
but has not had the time. She designed it all by her self!! I'm a proud mamma!
(OK, yes, her blog is under my name...she was wanting a my space, but I don't think
it's appropriate for kids. This way, I know what's going on, and no funny business!!
She's happy though:) and so am I!!)

I have lots of pics of the puppies, but I just can't be bothered to upload them right now.

I also went shopping! Ummmm, quite frequently....shoot! BUT, my birthday is next
week, so I have an excuse! I will update what I bought when I can add the links, and add pics.

Wednesday already???

Wow, it's Wednesday already. Sheesh, I'm really wondering when the last time I slept all night was. Now it's the puppies, and I'm getting back in that mode where I can't sleep well when hubby is out of town. Oh well.

Some Updates

~SWAP UPDATE~
I have sent out all of my squares for the Lullabies swap! I think the ghans are going to come out so pretty! I'm on time with the square swap at The Ranch. (finally, lol) I am for sure signed up for the summer shawl swap! I am going to love this one!
I am working on something , I can't say what just yet due to wandering eyes!
I have my dishcloths made for the Dishcloth swap at the Ranch.
Just need to mail them out.
I will be mailing out my reveal package to my Ville SP
this week! I really think she will like what I chose to spoil her with!
My unknown SP has not been well, so keep her in your prayers and thoughts. (She has been so kind, and has spoiled me sooo much! I think she has a heart of gold!)
Also, my friends diabetes has been acting up.....keep her in your prayers and thoughts too.
~Projects~
I need to really get and finish the edging on some of my ghans........I am soooo awful!
I have quite a few other ghans that I want to make! I want to make so much more than time allows. I also really want to increase my knitting skills. I love cables!! Have had a heck of a time finding a darn cable needle locally. I will have to look online.
Has anyone used Ernst Glass Knitting Needles?
They look divine, but before spending that much........I gotta know if they are wonderful to work with.
~Family Life~
As you can see in the previous post, my Goldie had pups. 4! She is such a good mamma! Saturday, we took her to the vet. She had been panting throughout the night, and we were getting worried about her. She's well! We are so happy, but the piece of mind cost $300!
(Thats why I need to really consider any future purchases!lol)
I had sent my Ville unknow SP an email Sunday. I stated that my hubby would be home today, might leave Tues, but who knows. (I might have him home for the week) Well, as soon I hit send, the phone rang. Needless to say, he is out of town........We think he'll be home by Thursday.
Saturday, was also my kiddos band auction. All grades performed during the day. THey each played 2 songs. I spent $50 for 10 tacos! They had ran out of food! Rach had to be there @ 12pm, and Selah had to be there by 6:30pm.
So, with the band auction, Goldie and the new pups, it was hectic.
The pups have been keeping me up...I have to make sure they are OK. They wiggle all over the place! If they wiggle off of their bed, Goldie whimpers while she gets them. It's like shes pleading with them to stay put and go to sleep! The pups noises seem to be getting louder and louder. Especially pup number 1! He sure does have a personality already! They are the cutest little things though!

Playing Catch Up

What a weird few weeks. My hubbies studying and the endless !TABS! have paid off!!! (tabs as in Avery, not the drink...Um, there is a drink, right?lol) He will soon be an official Journeyman Electrician.WOO HOO! He will take the masters exam in April.[He will not be a Master Electrician untill next year though.] I'm so excited and sooo proud!!!
We are on schedule, actually, a head of schedule for what we planned.[especially for the masters] It's funny though, when we started the planning process, it seemed like forever away. Yet the closer it came........the more we felt it. It's hard to put into words. Now....wow!
We have all sacrificed for this to happen. Hubby the most. My friend said to me , that it was "probably harder for him than us. We miss just him when he's gone, he's missing all of us...... " Ofcourse, thats not including the physical aspect. He has been working his behind off.....seriously, I can't find it anymore!lol! Boy do I love my man!

Ummm...........has it been that long..............

OK.............I am a lousy blogger. We're trying to get this business stuff going, and it has been a little stressful. This week is also spring break........yay! I'm getting over a stomach bug, and having major dizzy spells. No, not DITSY spells.........but, I have to say, there have been a few!lol! I have a few family issues that are finally off of my plate!

• I need to say how much I love the Villes Sp! My unknown pal is just the best ever. I hope she is feeling better, she has been ill too. This is the shawl she sent me last week. My camera has been acting funky....so, I will try to retake them. I adore my shawl! My hubby calls it my blanket, lol! Too cute! He still calls my crochet my knitting. I guess I'll really confuse him when I start practicing knitting! My known SP is the best ever too! She is sooooooo sweet! I have another puffy going out to her tomorrow!

Boy oh boy, it has been crazy since my hubby got home.
First off, he's left, came back, and left again since my last post.
We are going through some changes, and having to make plans to make sure everything works how it should. It's crazy, it's stressfull, and we're both just like OH MY GOSH! I have been out of my mind........Yet, I know I should just relax, it's all in Gods hands.

I have not had the mind frame to post, to get online, let alone crochet....See, I told you it was crazy!Anyhow, since my last post, I may have fiddled with a few squares....mindless,lol! I still need to get the last 4 squares mailed for my Seasons Afghan square swap @ Lullabies and lace. I am making it a top priority to complete my cables sweater and pants by Sunday....I'm praying! I'm testing the pattern, and I just want it completed ASAP.

During the Super Bowl....what a game!.......I started crocheting a round ripple. This was not my choice, but it's what happened. (I had all but my pattern for the sweater I'm working on) (I did get to buy more yarn, so all was not lost.)Miranda showed me the link for this PATTERN a while back, a few weeks ago, I got it from her again. I absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!I see a lot of these in my future! You should try it! I used a Q hook, RH in Cafe, RH in sandy print. I will pick it back up in a few weeks.

Some updates and Jibber Jabber

~It's finally Friday! The kids are out of school Monday, so who knows what the next 3 days will hold. I will be definitely sending out my ~Seasons Afghan~ Squares for the swap at Lullabies and Lace on Saturday . I have some C-ghan squares to work on, some afghan squares to finish up, and just some things I want to play around with. (as of right now, I almost have the 7th swap sq completed)
~I have been trying my hand at designing......nothing major, I asure you. It's actually a bath tissue cover. If it works out, and is not toooo wonky, I'll post the patterm. Don't expect to much though.
~Hubby is still not back......arggggg! The poor guy is working his tail off, and barely getting any sleep. He's working way to hard, and is definitely not appreciated enough at his current job. Yes, I'm whining about it.........I miss him. We're thinking he'll be gone at least for another week.
~We have some swap openings available for the Favorite Color Afghan sq. swap at the Swappers Ranch. We also so have a Getting to Know you SWAP getting ready to start. You can still make that one if you hurry!

I can hardly believe it my self. I honestly think it was just my time to quit.
I thank GOD every day for giving me the strength to do this.
I know with out his guidance......I would still be puffing away.
Making myself sick...a given, but hurting my girls as well. They don't need to be around it at all.
~Hubby, when home, will not smoke around me. (he has a few times) When we go out in the car, he will not! So, he is helping in in his way. He is being very supportive. AND, he is now talking about quitting as well! So, I'm praying for him to have the strength to do so.
I guess all you can do is take it one day at a time.

Tomorrow is Dance Day!

~Tuesday , 01/09/07 is Dance Day! So, HAPPY DANCE DAY TO ALL OF YOU!Break out the old ......ok, just break out the music! Grab that special person, and dance like you did when you were a teenager! (or young adult!)
~The kids and I are always dancing and singing around here. They love getting all goofy, and prancing around the house with mom!!
~Ummmm, just the other day, we were doing just that, and, well, I ended up doing a belly flop on my dining room floor. It did not feel very nice at all. My right side got it the worst. Ofcourse, the toe that I broke got smacked around too.......go figure!
~ Now, the girls did try to act concerned. TRY being the operative word. You could see they were trying so hard hard not to laugh. When I said....don't you dare......we all just bursted out laughing. They kept on about it for days!
~Have fun, but becareful! Try not to do any belly flops!

~Tomorrow, cuddle up with your loved ones and just hang out playing some fun games. We will be playing Monopoly, Here and Now edition, Sorry, The Game of Life., Sponge Bob Edition....and probably some card games too. Like Phase 10 , Uno , Snap and War with reg playing cards..........whatever my monsters want to play! Ofcourse, If I can crochet while playing....I will be!

~I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, and I wish you all the best for the new year. Give your family that extra hug, and tell them that you love them. Reflect over the years that have passed, and look to the future years with hope and excitement.
~Well, the holidays are over. It sort of sad don't you think... This is such a wonderful time. I have both Scottish and English (moms a Scott, dads a Brit) in my family, and this is a big time of year. It's time to be together. Sometimes, that's not always possible, but you do what you can . New Year is almost upon us, and it's a very emotional time. Every year, there are tears and laughter, especially when the countdown is finished.
