I joined the Hogwarts Sock Kit Swap today.

I sorted as a Hufflepuff, and in true Hufflepuff nature, I joined the Slytherin House.(It is always the smallest group, and they need peeps!)I have always thought the Slytherins were cool.(I love the colors too!) They have the whole bad boy/good boy thing going on. Think Snape....Ummm, YUM! LOL!!(hey, there's just something about him.) Lucious Draco is a hotty too! OK, seriously, this is going to be a fun swap!

This swap is perfect for me...why you ask?? Well, I couldn't join the Hogwarts Sock Swap...not ready for that just yet.....but that would have been sooooo cool! In this swap, You knit or sew a kit bag (they didn't specify crochet......) that will hold the knitting needles, sock yarn, and stitchmarkers. (You include a set of knitting needles, sock yarn, a sock pattern, and stitchmarkers) As always, you can add more items! Anyway, they are taking 150 swappers, so get over there! It starts May 1st. This is great for all of us sock newbies!

I have been watching the Knitters of Avalon Blog.........and I ordered the books (I only knew about Mists of Avalon I did see the movie...and LOVED it. So I can't wait to delve into the books.) They are making some beautiful items!!! Check them out!

HELP Please, and Other Fixes

OK, I'm making the mini sock from Loopy Ewes. I have my stitches on the appropriate DPNS. But THEN WHAT???????? It doesnt say to join. So, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to. Arggggggg. I'm going to look around online and find out some answers. PLEASE FEEL FREE to leave some tips!

I have been pattern shopping!! I bought The Candy Lace Shawl , Cabled Tea Cozy Set , The Garden Trellis Shawl , and, I bought the Sierra Poncho that I'm going to convert into a shawl.(this will be so much fun, I'm sure!) Oh, and I signed up with the GCOA today!

My hubby might be home tomorrow. We're not sure. But what we do know, he will definitely be home by Monday morning. He's in Corpus at the moment. (this trip inclued Austin,Corpus and San Antonio.)I MISS HIM SO MUCH!

My brother is coming down this weekend!! He says we're going out to dinner. Isn't he sweet! Him and Bekki both sang Happy Birthday to my answering machine.....(ohh, and not together, seperate messages!)The goobers, lol!

Ohhhh,. speaking of, my SIL Tina, called and sang HB on my machine March 13th.....LOL, She was just a little early. (This is my hubbys brothers wife.) I have been playing phone tag with them. I either call when the phones is busy, or when they are out. (and vice versa) I will just have to write them snail mail.

Anyhow, we have had some lovely weather drop in. Some tornadoes have touched ground and done some damage, but my area has been OK. It looked pretty freaky out though. Let's see what the rest of the night holds.

Ohh, Selah posted on her blog again. She loves comments, so, please, drop by. She's a goober too! (But she's my goober!) Question...should I part with my bamboo? They are my special hooks. I just love them. DO I HAVE TO SHARE? Ya know, now that I thinking about, I'm gonna let her. BUT IT CAN NOT LEAVE MY VICINITY!!!!! There, now I feel good, and she will feel special! lol.

MY Fix!

I went to the Loopy Ewe! In two orders I bought, 4 skeins of Euro Online,

in Highland 71-837.

I also bought a hank of Apple Laine in color purple rain. I sooo wanted to get 2, but there was only one left.

This is an awesome shop! Sheri(blog) really added a personnel touch by writing a small note with both of my orders! (It was really nice to see that!)

She also popped a few little extras in my order! (ummmm, and who wouldn't like that?)
The sucky part....(OK, not really!) She added some sample yarn cards..enough to feel it, and see the vibrant colors. Well, why is that sucky you ask...WELL NOW I WANT THOSE YARNS TOO!!! lol!

I have another order in process. I bought size 1 DPNs so that I can make the little Loopys Red Sock Kit! It is just the cutest!
